The American Sniper
During Spring Break, I watched American Sniper. The movie was about a man who joined the Navy SEAL to become a sniper and was sent to Iraq. This movie was based on a true story. His name was Chris Kyle and he made four tours to Iraq. Every time he went to Iraq, he risked his life to protect his country and he lost his friends during the attacks.
One of my favorite parts was when Chris Kyle was positioned to shoot down enemies; he was on the top of a roof. He was tracking down a terrorist who shot two of his friends. It was during a sand storm and it was hot, but he spotted the sniper who was over a mile away. The terrorist was covered in sheets so it would make him hard to be found. Chris Kyle Shot the target over a mile away, which would be extremely hard to accomplish for any, experienced sniper. Chris Kyle was focused, accurate and very determined to avenge for his friends.
My second favorite scene was when Chris and the a few other soldiers were invited to have dinner with a local Iraqi. During dinner, Chris noticed a red mark on the hosts elbow, and found it suspicious. Therefore, he went to inspect the house. In one of the rooms, the flooring was squeaky and soon he found a secret department covered with several rugs. He looked inside and found a stash full of weapons. He attacked the terrorist in the middle of dinner and arrested him. In this scene, Chris was very observant and carful.
In another scene, Muslim mother extremist was hiding a bomb under her long black cloths. She was in front of the approaching American tank. She passed the explosive to her little son so he would approach the tank and blow up it up, knowing that he would die too. Chris Kyle saw the boy, he hesitated to shoot him,because he thought of his family and children all the time, but he shot him to protect the his family and US troops. Then Muslim mother picked up the bomb and threw it. Chris Kyle shot her too.
Overall, the movie had some good action and also added more to Chris Kyle’s biography.
I learned more how the Navy Seal does his job to protect our country. Chris Kyle was a legend because he shot lots of enemies that any other snipers combined.
When soldiers return from Iraq they have to fit regular life and that is very hard to them because they couldn’t forget the war and people who fought there.
As a result they need support from their family and friends and sometimes medical help. He was a good man and should have lived longer, but he was shot by the veteran during the gun range.
